Revealing the Infinite Wisdom of the Microverse for All Living Kind

“Each species around us is a masterpiece of evolution, exquisitely adapted to its environment”

- EO Wilson

Microorganisms are the origin of life. Over 3.5 billion years of existence, they have integrated into and maintain nearly every major cycle on the planet. The microverse and its network of molecular and genetic exchange flow through the atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, and—because microbes inhabit every multicellular organism—the biosphere.

To date, humankind has only discovered an estimated 0.001% of microbial species. We understand even less about how humanity’s survival relies on the diversity of the microverse. Yet as we destroy and homogenize the natural environment, our actions lead to irrevocable loss of global ecological wisdom billions of years in the making.
